Engineering Solutions Tasmania

About Us

Engineering Solutions Tasmania was established in 2004 with Steven Banbury and Andrew Blackberry as Directors and sole employees. Since this time, we have grown into one of the largest specialised building services engineering firms in Tasmania. We currently have one of the largest building services staff permanently based in the state.

In 2007, we opened our Hobart office to cater for our expanding customer base and we now source much of our work from the south end of the state.

Engineering Solutions Tasmania is a leading Tasmanian building services consultancy with offices in Launceston and Hobart. We provide our clients with engineering consulting services across Tasmania.

Our experience covers both private and public sectors, covering a diverse range of projects from major institutional and commercial developments, to sensitive cultural and natural heritage sites.

We treat each project as unique, to ensure that our response is innovative, integrated and reflects the client’s needs and desires. Where standard techniques do not provide appropriate outcomes; we relish the opportunity develop solutions from first principles and through invention and innovation to provide the results to match the projects vision.

EST is committed to integrated practice where the provision of our designs incorporates the latest, most efficient equipment and systems to ensure that clients receive the greatest value for the services provided. We stand by this practice in our own offices, using the most current and best available tools and techniques in our work.

Our collaborative and sustainable credentials continue to grow, having been on successful design teams on many of our high profile projects. An example of this is highlighted in the 2013 Australian Institute of Architects Tasmanian Awards John Lee Archer Triennial Prize. This award is for public and commercial works from the previous three years. Eight ventures were nominated and EST were major collaborators in half these projects.
