The Brooke Street Pier houses restaurants and ferry terminal facilities. It utilises the seawater below as its source of heat in winter and its source of cooling in summer. EST provided the detailed design of the sea-water/condenser water heat exchange circuits for this innovative system. The systems involve freshwater charging of the sea-water circuit on shutdown to eliminate the build-up of marine life.
