Woolmers undertook this project in 2 stages. The 1st Stage, starting at the begin of 2015; being the main infrastructure and sight works, including Power and Data reticulation, Water Tanks, Pumping systems and the ground works. Stage 2 was the building of the new visitor’s centre which was completed in the first half of 2017 after an 18-month construction period.

The new visitors centre also included 2 Category A Conditioned Gallery spaces complete with full humidity control. This spaces also included full DALI controlled LED track lighting system complete with fully programmed colour rendering.

The visitors centre also housed a full commercial kitchen with both gas and electric appliances with a fully integrated high-end dinning and function area complete with inbuilt audio and controlled LED Lighting systems. The office space utilises monitored ceiling cassettes and a full ducted VRV system in the function and shop front.

This site has is a full LED exterior light system designed around “Dark Sky’s” with very little to no wasted upward lighting spill and being sensitive to the heritage protect gardens and surrounds. The whole building is energy monitored and controlled via a Logitech BMS. This building also incorporates a IP CCTV backbone, Tecom presence sensing security system and fully addressable fire detection system integrated to the rest of site.
